In 2011, friends in the workplace mentioned this HBO TV series from the US “Game of Thrones”, but not having Sky Atlantic or any interest at that time, did not follow it up, but recent curiosity got the better of me, with all this hysteria in the news, that maybe something was missing from my life, and I think this just coincided with finale of Season 7 last week.
So I’ve watched the complete box set end to end, all 67 episodes, that’s about 3 days of continuous viewing, although I noticed that the intro and credits, add 4 minutes to each episode, so I could reduce viewing time by 4.5 hours!
and it’s a very gripping excellent series, and I will have to wait for Final Season 8, in 2018/2019!
Just a word of caution, Game of Thrones does contain strong language, sex, blood, and dragons – not necessarily in that order!
I now need to go on Mastermind as my head is fairly overloaded with GoT!
A bit late to the party, a close friend and my brother suggested I watch Breaking Bad, and then Better Call Saul, so I’ve just finished watching all 5 Seasons of Breaking Bad, and 2 Seasons of Better Call Saul, that’s approximately 3 days of Box Set viewing!
And coincidently, Better Caul Saul, Season 2 has just aired and finished!
Again, a big loss today, as the news reports the loss of Robin Williams.
I grew up watching Robin Williams in Mork and Mindy, and have always watched his films since, and had the chance when going on holiday to Vietnam, to utter those immortal words – Good Morning Vietname, and Hanoi Hannah! (much to Lindsey’s disgust!)
So Nanu Nanu and Farewell…..RIP
Thanks for all the cards, presents and good wishes….
So, my birthday went like this:-
A “truly Excellent Adventure…..”
