Lady GaGa Monster Ball Tour – 18th Feb – MEN Arena – Manchester – Video!

Friday, February 19th, 2010

It was an interesting night, being thrown back in time to the 80s, watching all the dressed up fans (freaks – myself included, which reminds me of another band and song – ‘all the best freaks are here’ ) in their gear! But an enjoyable, fabulous set and songs. Worth the wait! I only wished I had another ticket to see her again!

It gets much loader, when GaGa comes on, and wipes out the camera microphone, I wondered why Lindsey was complaining one of her ears wasn’t working properly today! Mine are okay, but I’m deaf anyway! Please also note, if you are one of the freaks going to the Monster Ball, the video does contain spoliers!

I didn’t really anticpiate taking my compact digital camera because I didn’t know how well the photos and video would come out, and despite the notice on the entrance to the MEN stating cameras and digital recording devices would not be allowed, I think everyone at the MEN had a camera or phone with a camera! The only problem is I only took, on memory card, which was rather full, but here is a small clips of the evening to give you a flavour, and I apologise for the picture, video and audio quality – it was loud, that loud, it overloads the microphone on the camera.

Also please note the language on this clip is rather strong, a bit stronger than Gordan Ramsey, if you know what I mean, plenty of F-Words!

My last Fry’s Turkish Delight!

Sunday, February 14th, 2010

This is the wrapper from my last British Fry’s Turkish Delight! I gave up Terry’s Chocolate Oranges when they left our shores, so I’m going to do the same with Fry’s Turkish Delight!

The last Frys Turkish Delight to be made in Britain!

Kraft - A Message To You - Up Yours!

Kraft - A Message To You - Up Yours!

You took my Terry’s Chocolate Orange, and now you’ve taken my Fry’s Turkish Delight!

On behalf of all the workers at Terry’s of York and Fry’s of Keynsham UP YOURS!

I’ll not be eating any more Cadbury’s products!

Some of your favourite chocolate bars ?Crunchie, Double Decker, Fry’s Crème, Chomp, Fudge, Mini Eggs, Picnic, Fry’s Turkish Delight, Freddos, Caramel and Curly Wurly? all made at the productive and profitable Cadbury factory in Keynsham are under threat.

The 281 year old British factory is to be closed resulting in 500 local jobs being lost, and production relocated 1,200 miles away to POLAND, however 95% of all Cadbury chocolate produced at Keynsham is consumed by us in Britain. This will result in hugely increased food miles, massively higher carbon emissions, and devastation to the local economy. Show your support by signing the petition below making your pledge. You can use your e-mail address to add relatives and friends (up to 4) with their permission, using their own names and post codes if they don’t have their own e-mail address.

Keep jobs local, KEEP production close to consumption.
Say NO to job exports.Say YES to keeping a Cadbury factory in KEYNSHAM, UK
I want to keep Cadburys in Keynsham, Great Britain.

Snowed in again

Monday, January 4th, 2010

Snowed in again, so we walked 6 miles in total to the local town and back in the snow to get some bread and margarine. We stopped for 30 minutes to have a coffee, to fuel up for the return journey.

It too us an hour to walk the 3 mile journey, 30 minutes in the coffee shop, and just over an hour to return home, light was fading on the return journey, and Lindsey took a few photographs of the sunset.
